The concept of a FUN HEALTH came up
from the translation of FunSalud (Fundacion
para la Salud) or The Foundation for Health
and took us to the concept that Health and Fun could
be an important approach to improve health through sports,
recreation, and social interaction. Lets welcome that
concept as our logo and trade mark name.
Justificacion
The founders believed that there is a need to build
partnerships between former ministers of health , non
profit and profit corporations and academia in an effort
to promote development of the Americas through health.
These ministers and scientists have tremendous experience
to share with the people of the Americas.
By building a unified continent with health equity,
social justice, and free transfer of knowledge we can
turn the globalization and information sharing process
into a key strategy for sustainable development.
We hope that future former Ministers or Secretaries
of Health and other leaders of the academic, public
and private sector will join us in this effort.

Values
Credibility and Accountability
We believe that the people of the Americas, independent
of their country, race, color, religion, or political
affiliiation will benefit from the experience of these
former and current public health professionals wherever
they are working now. In addition, we believe that these
practitioners will serve as academic leaders to help
in the process of building a strong and healthy American
hemispere in the global context.
The Board of Directors brings to donors and partners
the credibility and accountability of seasoned experts
who have implemented health policies in their countries
at the national, state and local levels with equal opportunity,
responsibility and transparency.
Legal status
The Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable,
educational and scientific purposes as contemplated
by Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of
1986, as amended, (the "Code"), including,
for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations
that qualify as exempt organizations under Code Section
501(c)(3).
Objectives
The Foundation is organized to work for the populations
of the Americas, to improve their health conditions
and well-being, promoting comprehensive human development,
as to be carried out by professional and, consultants,
through academic and scientific work, in order to contribute
to public health and human development.

formers Ministers of Health of the Americas, including
Chile, Peru, Bolivia and Colombia and general public.
Membership are open to people willing to participate
in FunHealth and have been previously approedl by the
nominating committee. They are interested in putting
all their policy experience in practice to continue
helping the Americas to improve public health conditions.
